Overview
Orton Park Camp is a day camp for children going into kindergarten through going into 5th grade sponsored by Big Oak Childcare. Each week there are 36 openings for children. We are a state licensed and city accredited child care facility. Our daily operations are out of Orton Park at 1114 Rutledge St, Madison, WI 53703.
In order to get to field trips and the beach, we walk and ride public transportation. This physical component is in addition to daily recreational swimming at BB Clarke Beach. 3rd-5th graders can become Junior Counselors this summer! They fulfill different activities in order to earn this certificate. Younger groups benefit from Junior Counselors reading to them, setting up obstacle courses, leading art activities, and more!
We welcome and strive to meet the needs of all campers. Campers with any disabilities or additional needs may require more attention than our staff is able to provide on its own. We ask that families clearly indicate needs in the "message" on the registration e-mail so that we may talk with parents directly. Failure to provide accurate information may result in our being unable to serve your child when camp begins. Orton Park Camp reserves the right to remove any camper from the program whose behavior is deemed unacceptable. No refunds will be given.

Fee Payments/Refunds
A​ registration deposit of $25 per week per camper is due one week after the confirmation email of your registration. This deposit fee is non-refundable and is applied to tuition. Make checks payable to Big Oak Child Care​.​ ​Tuition payments shall be made on or before due date. A late payment charge of $10 will be added after multiple late session fees. Failure to make payments in a timely manner after this $10 fine will result in termination of enrollment.​ ​Any unfunded payments will be assessed a $20 fee plus any other applicable fees.​ ​Session fees are non-refundable after the due date. Tuition fees are not affected, and not limited by, illness, camp closings, and holidays. A 5% discount will be applied to siblings of a camper enrolled in the same session.
